The festival is getting started…

Yes, there are just six days left.
San Fermin starts (as always) on 6th July at 12:00 when a rocket is fired from a balcony in the Town Hall.
Everybody here feels excited about the festival; everything is now ready.
Most of the bulls have already arrived and are staying in the stables on the outskirts of the city (you can have a look at those massive animals at the ‘Corrales del Gas’).
If you have a walk through the old town, you will see how the wooden fences which mark the path for the running of the bulls, are being erected.
There is a saying in the city ‘it smells like bull’ to describe the feeling you get during the previous days to the festival.
You can see an unusual number of visitors (in comparison with the rest of the year) in the streets of this small town called Pamplona (or Iruña, as we call it in Basque).
So , what are you waiting for?
Hurry up, pack your things and come here if you do not want to miss one of these things you must experience at least once in a lifetime.

Aaaaah, right now I’m sitting at work, just waiting for the time to pass. This coming Thursday me and a friend will travel from Norway to experience this amazing fiesta. For years I have looked at pictures and read about the San Fermin and now finally I’m going.

It’s not so much the thirst for blood or the bravado, but it the whole setting. The culture, the people, the experience. It is something unique to us foreigners.

    See you there!

Oh, were do you buy the red skarf/belt?

I am also looking forward to visiting the Basque region of Spain.

You will find the scarf at any shop in the old part of Pamplona.

    Enjoy!!!

    Gora San Fermin!!!

I atttended the running of the bulls in 2008 and 2009. It was the time of my life! From Txupinazo tell the end of the festival every moment was action packed. I had a great view from an amazing apartment in Pamplona, Spain. Each day i watched the running from a balcony that i rented from papmlonabalconies.com. Running of the Bulls, wow, I can’t say enough. I regret that i cannot attend this year but i highly recommend everyone to go!
